AIR RAIDS IN BURMA
ATTACKS ON ENEMY TRANSPORT. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 9.55 a.m.) RUGBY, July 28. A New Delhi communique states: “R.A.F. bombers yesterday attacked railway, river and road transport in Central Burma. The main railway line, between Mandalay and Rangoon, was bombed. Seventy-five miles south-west of. Mandalay engine sheds, trucks, sidings and the permanent way were bombed. Mytinge was also bombed, while bombs were dropped amongst barges.”
