MORNING RAIDS

BY SINGLE ENEMY PLANES MADE IN MANY PARTS OF ENGLAND. SOME FATAL CASUALTIES & DAMAGE. LONDON, July 27. Early morning raids on many parts of England were made by single enemy raiders, which dropped bombs at various points. In several places the planes machine-gunned people on their way to work. Reports received record that some people were killed and property damaged. The raids took place between 6 and 9 a.m. London had two alerts, but no bombs were dropped. Later in the day, bombs were dropped on the coast of East Anglia. An enemy bomber was destroyed on the west coast of England this evening by fighters.
