COURSING
MEETING AT WEEKEND. Good nominations have been received for the North Island Greyhound Association’s meeting to be held at the Akura Plumpton during the weekend. It is expected that a field of 32 dogs of either sex will compete for the handsome trophy donated by Mr S. C. Drinkwater, of Dannevirke. The trophy is on view in one of Messrs C. Smith Ltd.’s windows. Late nominations will close tomorrow at 6 p.m. The draw will take place at the A. and P. Rooms at 8 o’clock on Thursday. At 7 o’clock the executive will meet to make the necessary arrangements. On Friday evening at 9 o’clock all members, visitors and supporters are reminded of a meeting tc be held in the A. and P. Rooms to dis cuss matters relating to the sport.
