■ iSUCCESSFUL DANCE. RESULT OF ONE STEP ! COMPETITION. An ■ added attraction at the Wairarapa Interhouse Association’s dance in the Town Hall on Saturday night was the one step competition, which brought lorth 40 entries. This competition was judge d by Mrs Daphne Harding, and Miss M. Stewart and Pte. Nealon were declared the winners. The floor was in excellent order and a most enjoyable time was spent by those present. I The music was supplied by Mr J. Barnes s orchestra. , The winners of the novelty events were: Monte Carlo dance. Miss E. Devery and Pte. Mlomfield; lucky spot dance. Miss Finlayson and Pte. G. A. O'Leary. The dance was most efl'iciently controlled by Messrs J. Bruce and W. R. Rawson. The Wairarapa Interhouse Association will hold another dance in the Town Hall on August 8.
