CONGRESS PARTY ATTACK ON BRITAIN MISGIVINGS IN 'INDIA. NOT TIME TO EMBARRASS FRIENDS. (By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright) (Received This Day, 11.45 a.m.) BOMBAY, July 24. Prominent Congress Party leaders have begun touring the ciuntry explaining the party’s Wardha resolution to the effect that Britain must get out of India. A number of provincial committees have passed a resolution supporting the movement. The Delhi Committee called on all branches to carry the message of freedom to every home and expressed a hope that Indian patriots will hold themselves in readiness to respond to their country’s call. Sir Bijoy Roy, President of the Indian Liberal Federation, speaking in New Delhi, declared that the Congress Party’s “Britain must quit” movement was a sheer invitation to Japan to attack India. He added that this was not a time to embarrass friends but to resist enemies. The Congress decision has not only shocked the United Nations but has created misgivings among a large section of the Indian public.
