CENTRAL SCHOOL
ENJOYABLE SOCIAL GATHERING. ORGANISED BY PUPILS. A very pleasant time was spent at the Central School last night when the pupils of Form 2 organised a social gathering to raise funds for the Wavell Service Group. Dancing to music supplied by 2nd. Lieut. E. C. Coddington, and games were enjoyed by the pupils and staff. Items were given by Eric Price and Bill Winter (mouth organ), Wendy Torwick and Naida Murdoch and Leonie Forrest, elocutionary items. The lucky spot was won by Miss Mulvaney and Lieut. Coddington, while Margaret Millward and John Geary won the Monte Carlo. John Geary made an efficient M.C. Supper was provided by the pupils. A considerable sum was raided for the fund.
