The Rome radio says a major battle, in which Hungarian warships on the Danube participated, occurred in the middle of June between Axis troops and Yugoslav guerillas. The radio did not mention the Axis losses, but claimed that the guerillas lost 3,500 killed and 8,000 taken prisoner. The Moscow radio says 7,500 Italians were killed in May, fighting against Yugoslav patriots.
