SCARCITY OF LABOUR

POSITION OF FARMS. DETAILED SURVEY BEING MADE. A detailed survey of the labour position on farms throughout the Wairarapa is now being undertaken, and farmers who have not sufficient labour to keep their production up to a reasonable standard, are requested to get in touch with the Wairarapa Production Council at the Farmers’ Union office, Masterton, where Mr R. W. Kebbell (chairman) will be in attendance on Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Mr Kebbell will endeavour to visit other centres in the Wairarapa next week. The object of the council is to procure the necessary balance between the armed forces and production.
