Halpin 77, K. Feast 76, Mrs Symonds 75, J. Saba 71. Dvr., Whiteford 58, H. White 37. League of Mothers. Mrs Arch. Clark presided at the monthly meeting held in the Parish Hall on Thursday afternoon. Unfortunately there was a small attendance owing 'to sickness and wintry weather conditions. Those present received a very interesting outline of the work of the N.Z. Crippled Children Society, given by Mrs Kilgour, the Welfare Officer of the Wairarapa branch. The hostesses were Mesdames Simmonds and Neilsen. Red Cross Society. The following candidates passed the first aid examination held by the Pahi-atea-Kahutara sub-centre of the Red Cross Society: Misses Sheila Maunsell, M. Juno. B. Beattie. B. Corlett, E. Hubbard. N. Cade. P. Warrington, G. Enoka and Mrs R. Hood.

COSY THEATRE “IT STARTED WITH EVE.” Tonight’s programme will be headed by the Deanna Durbin sensational picture, “It Started With Eve.” Deanna Durbin is cast as a hatcheck girl, and co-stars with Charles Laughton in this romantic comedy.
