—-■ ■ — MINIATURE RIFLES COMPETITION SCORES. (“Times-Age" Special.) . The following were the scores m the Featherston Miniature Rifle Club s weekly competition shoot held on Thursday night: L. Rasmussen 96, N. McNamara 94. C. Foster 92, G. White 92, Sergt. Taplin 92. C. Rasmussen 91. Mrs Rasmussen 91, K. McKenzie 95, J. Buck 90. Sergt. Nixon 89, Mrs Nimmo 85, D. Feast 84, J. Simmons 77, L. Halpin 77, K. Feast 76, Mrs Symonds 75, J. Saba 71. Dvr., Whiteford 58, H. White 37. League of Mothers. Mrs Arch. Clark presided at the monthly meeting held in the Parish Hall on Thursday afternoon. Unfortunately there was a small attendance owing 'to sickness and wintry weather conditions. Those present received a very interesting outline of the work of the N.Z. Crippled Children Society, given by Mrs Kilgour, the Welfare Officer of the Wairarapa branch. The hostesses were Mesdames Simmonds and Neilsen. Red Cross Society. The following candidates passed the first aid examination held by the Pahi-atea-Kahutara sub-centre of the Red Cross Society: Misses Sheila Maunsell, M. Juno. B. Beattie. B. Corlett, E. Hubbard. N. Cade. P. Warrington, G. Enoka and Mrs R. Hood.
COSY THEATRE “IT STARTED WITH EVE.” Tonight’s programme will be headed by the Deanna Durbin sensational picture, “It Started With Eve.” Deanna Durbin is cast as a hatcheck girl, and co-stars with Charles Laughton in this romantic comedy.
