EARTHQUAKE DAMAGE POWER BOARD ESTIMATE. (“Times-Age” Special.) Mr H, B. Keenan, chief engineer, reported as follows to the Wairarapa Power Board meeting yesterday on the earthquake damage as far as the Board was concerned: —It is impossible to give an accurate estimate of the damage and. cost of restoration work, but the following has been prepared to serve as a guide:—Reticulation, general, £3,928; less general maintenance, £780; inspection of consumers’ installations if required, £2,470; Kourarau headworks, £515; Board’s buildings (say) £650; total, £6,783.
