COLLEGE RUGBY

HUTT VALLEY BEAT WAIRARAPA. EVEN GAME WITNESSED. A bright, even game was seen at the College grounds yesterday .when the Second Fifteens of Wairarapa College and Hutt Valley High School tried conclusions. Hutt won by 6 points to nil. The game was mainly a forward one, the Wairarapa pack having a slight superiority in the loose work, though the visitors had the better back combination. Hutt’s centre three-quarter, McArthur, scored two tries, one early in the first spell and the other well on in the second spell. Wairarapa s fullback, Butt, played an outstanding game. Mr H. P. Reid was the referee. The visitors were entertained last evening at a dance held in the Assembly Hall and left this afternoon for the Hutt.
