BOWLING
MASTERTON CLUB ANNUAL MEETING OF MEMBERS. ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The annual meeting of the Masterton Bowling Club was held last night in the club’s pavilion. There was a good attendance of members, presided over by Mr H. H. Daniell (president). In moving the adoption of the annual report, the chairman referred to the satisfactory financial position of the club and the fact that the club had had a record number of new members last season. He also referred to the splendid condition of both playing greens which had justified the programme carried out under the supk ervision. of Mr W. H. Horton, of Pal- ' merston North. ' The annual report and balance sheet were adopted. The election of officers for the ensuing year resulted as follows:—Patron, Mr F. H. Dunderdale; president, Mr H. E. Thomas; vice-presidents, Messrs J. V. Gordon and F. Percy; committee, Messrs W. Hendry, F. Mills, H. M. Morton, W. Reid and L. T. Wylie; hon. secretary, Mr W. Cody; hon. treasurer, Mr J. F. Roberts; hon. auditor, Mr A. O. Jones; selector, Mr A. Stubbings; match committee, Messrs W. Hendry, W. Lewis and A. Stubbings; delegates to Wairarapa Bowling Centre, Messrs J. F. Roberts, G. Hayne and A. Stubbings; Board stewards, Messrs G. Beecroft, W. Davies and R. Beattie; publicity officers, Messrs C. Perry and H. H. Daniell. It was decided to recommend to the committee that members of the club who are engaged in military or Home Guard duties which prevent them playing full time be admitted at a reduced subscription. It was decided that the competitions be the same as last season.
