DEVELOPMENT IN NORWAY. THREAT TO ALLIED CONVOYS (By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) LONDON, July 15. Information has reached the Norwegian authorities in London that Tromso, 100 miles north-east of Narvik, has been made into a naval base for harassing Allied convoys going to Russia. The Germans have also converted Narvik, in northern Norway, and Trondheim and Bergen in the south, into naval bases for this purpose Numerous airfields are being built in northern Norway.
