COUNTRY SUB-CENTRE. MONTHLY MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Country Districts sub-Centre of the Red Cross Society was held yesterday afternoon the T”,omen’s Division Rooms in Masterton. The were present: Mesdames A. C. Gawith (in the chair), Wingate, McKenzie, McLean, T. Cunningham, K. Groves. Britton, de Cand A. Keir, F. Hewitt, Misses R. Elliott and E. Rutherford. . . On the motion of the president a vote of sympathy was passed to all those who had suffered in the recent earthquake, and also to those who had assisted in removing the centres furniture after the earthquake, to Mrs Saville-Smith. Mrs Pratt the Masterton Red Cross sub-Centre, and to Miss Suther land for the use of rooms above her shop for storage purposes and sewing. Sewing will commence in these rooms next Wednesda The f cMdren of the Longbush School were thanked in connection with the sale of stamps.
