TOWNSWOMEN’S GUILD

MONTHLY MEETING. HELD IN MASTERTON YESTERDAY. The monthly meeting of the Masterton Townswomen’s Guild was held in the Y.M.C.A. yesterday. In the absence of the president, the vice-president (Mrs Burke) presided. It was decided that a ballot for two delegates be held at the next monthly meeting. The “Golden Thread” was taken by Mrs Carmine .her subject being “Faith and Confidence.” A very interesting travel talk was given by Mrs Ackerman. The Drama Circle read a humorous play entitled, "Two Women and a Telephone,” the characters being taken by Mesdames Jarvis and Graham. Following the afternoon tea, Mrs Brockett gave a demonstration on spinning wool. She was presented with a shoulder spray. ______
