CLEARING SALE. GOOD PRICES REALISED. Messrs Dalgety and Company Limited report having held a very successful sale of all classes of farm implements, dairy nerd, and sheep on account of Mr C. N. L. Fraser, ttikawera Bridge, Martinborougn, yesterday, in spite of the inclement weather conditions and the Hooding of roads throughout the uistrict, there was- a large and representative attendance, buyers being present from Eketahuna, Waipawa, Wellington, Masterton, Carterton and all the neighbouring districts. The farm implements, tractor, etc., were in excellent condition and the dairy herd, which comprised good young high-proaucing Jerseyarid Jersey cross cows, came forward in good condition. From the offset the sale was spirited. Good second and third calvers due end July and August made from £l2, £l4 to £l6; late calving do, £lO to £l2; fourth and fifth calvers due July and August, 9gns, 10 gns to £l2 10s; older and late calving cows from £7 10s, £8 10s to £9 15s; cows in milk, £B, £lO, to £l2 10s; good 3-yr springing neifers, £lO, £lO 10s to £l2 10s; late eaiving do, £7 to £3 10s; weaner Jersey heifers, £5. The whole herd made the very satisfactory average of £lO Ils. The hoggets offered met with a keen sale. Shorn wether hoggets realised from £1 to 21s 6d, while a line of small m.s. lambs made £l. Figs were also in demand. Store pigs made from £2 to £2 ss; sows due to farrow, £5; sow and litter of 7, £lO. The impliments met with a spirited sale. A 2*/a h.p. Lister diesel engine, £108; power hay press, £101; McCormack Farm-All tractor, £160; d.f. tractor plough, £33; tanks, £7 10s to £10; power pump, £4; mower, £2l; hay, 3s to 3s 9d per bale. Fowls, 5s to 8s 6d. Horses: 1 7-yr mare broken all work, £2O; aged mare, £10; 2 good station cobs offered on account of an outside vendor made £l6 and £2O, respectively. A large quantity' of all classes of farm sundries, furniture, etc., sold at good clearing sale rates.
