SESSION BUSINESS

CONCLUSION EXPECTED TONIGHT PRINCIPAL REMAINING ITEM. BILL TO EXTEND LIFE OF PARLIAMENT. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. Twenty classes of the Estimates, providing for an aggregate expenditure of £16,520,676, were passed by the House of Representatives before it adjourned at 10.30 last night. One class remains to be dealt with today. The Prime Minister (Mr Fraser) stated that apart from several local Bills to be reported, the only legislation would be a measure to extend the life of Parliament and another containing the usual authority for the extension of borrowing powers. It' is thought likely that the session will conclude tonight.
