HOME GUARD

MASTERTON BATTALION ROUTINE ORDERS. CLASSES, PARADES & OTHER ACTIVITIES. Routine orders for the Masterton Battalion of the Home Guard, issued by Major A. L. Hibbs, are:— Classes: N.C.O. class, Monday, July 13, at 7.0 p.m. at the Municipal Hall. Parades: A Coy.: Tuesday, July 14, at 7.0 p.m. Nos. 1 and 2 platoons at the Municipal Hall. Nos. 3 and 4 platoons at the Scout Den. C Coy.: Thursday, July 9, at 7.0 p.m. Nos. 7 and 8 platoons at the Municipal Hall. Nos. 9 and 10 platoons at the Scout Den. Other centres will adhere to individual arrangements. Signallers: Will parade Thursday, July 9, at 7.0 p.m. at the Central School. Petrol Guards; Thursday night parade cancelled. Company commanders who have not yet forwarded names for courses June 25 to August 1 and August 22 to August 29, will do so immediately. A Company commanders conference will be held at Battalion Headquarters, William Street, Masterton, Tuesday, July 14 at 7.30 p.m. Promotion: D. Coy.: Cpl. R. A. Wilson to be Sergeant. Marched out: H.-Q. Coy.: Guardsman A. C. Haybittie to Pahiatua Battalion. D Coy.: F. H. Candy and M. L. Coulson to Camp. V. Carroll to Military Camp.
