HOCKEY NOTES ON THE GAMES. (“Times-Age” Special.) The first series of the men’s matches was concluded on Saturday. C continued its run of successes by defeating F after' a very close game in which better stamina proved the decisive factor. The game between G and D was a good, fast exhibition of hockey, the latter proving the victors by 7-5. The grounds were in a. satisfactory state. There is a tendency at present locally to believe that the local men’s team will not be able to continue for the remainder of the season owing to the departure of some of its members. The loss of Dauber and Bouzaid in the backs especially is no doubt serious, but there is every prospect that these players will be suitably For the present, at least, the club has every intention of carrying on. The draw for the games to be played on July 10 and July 17 is as follows: July 10, F v D; E v G. July 17: F v E; G v D. The games to be played at Carterton will be: July 10: A v B; C v H. July 17: A v H; B v C. TOWN HALL DARING COMEDY. In the Town Hall tomorrow night will be presented one of the most daring comedies ever brought to the screen, “The Flame of New Orleans,” with Marlene Dietrich, Bruce Cabot and Roland Young in the chief roles,. The associate feature will be one _of the popular Hopalong Cassidy series, “Wide Open Town,” featuring William Boyd, Russell Hayden and Andy Clyde. _____
