INDOMITABLE CHINA

INSPIRATION TO ALL FREE PEOPLES. NEW ZEALAND MESSAGE TO CHIANG KAI-SHEK. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON, This Day. The following message has been sent to General Chiang Kai-shek, by the Prime Minister, Mr Fraser:— “On the occasion of the fifth anniversary of China’s heroic struggle for the maintenance of freedom and national integrity I desire to express on behalf of the Government and people of New Zealand our deepest admiration for the indomitable fortitude of

the Chinese people in their long drawnout struggle in the face of such great odds and bitter disappointments. The unconquerable spirit which the Chinese people have displayed is a constant source of inspiration to all the free peoples of the world. “We in this country are confident that the common efforts of the United Nations animated by that same will to resist and conquer must eventually avail to bring victory and freedom both to China and to all the other countries now victims of ruthless aggression.”
