MEETING AT AKURA THE ADMIRAL WINS COOPER CUP. ST. LEGER TO’ SPITEFUL NELL. Before a good attendance of spectators the Wairarapa Coursing Club’s third meeting of the season held yesterday afternoon at Akura proved an unqualified success, The Admiral, owned and trained by Mr J. Hanley, ran consistently throughout the day and emerged a comfortable winner over Hats Off. winning 6/1 in the final. The winner has been a good performer over the last two seasons both on the racing track and the plumpton and this latest win, his first on the coursing field, was most popular. The St. Leger winner, Spiteful Nell, owned by Mr H. Fannin, of Hastings, proved herself the champion puppy of the season, as she had already won the Oaks last month and the Watson Rose Bowl.
