Persistent reports of illegal trafficking. in stolen ration books are being investigated by the Sydney police. One taxi-driver states that he was offered 200 ration books at two shillings each, and was told that he was at liberty to sell them at whatever profit he could make. The rationing authorities promise prompt and drastic action against any offenders caught.
