SITUATION IN EGYPT
REGARDED CALMLY BY TURKS. CONFIDENCE IN ULTIMATE ALLIED VICTORY. ANKARA, June 29. Turkish officials are regarding the situation in Egypt calmly, and their feeling of the certainty of eventual Allied victory is as strong as ever. It is pointed out that Turkey’s attitude dooms to failure any German hopes of obtaining bases in Turkey or a passage for troops.
