SOLDIERS’ DANCE ENJOYABLE GATHERING. (“Times-Age” Special.) It was at first decided to cancel the dance, but rather than disappoint the soldiers the commmittee resolved to carry on and their decision was greatly appreciated by the soldiers. Hockey Notes. Although all competition games were cancelled on Saturday, two games were played locally, Service teams and the ladies participating. The standard oi play was good, the F team turning out a very strong combination. The D team met with considerable opposition from a local mixed eleven, the final score being 6-5 in favour of the former. Both matches proved a splendid relaxation for both players and spectators from the strain of the past few clays. Investment Society.
