MISSING CREW
OF AMERICAN CARGO STEAMER. REPORTED INTERNED AT SHANGHAI. (By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright) (Received This Day, 12.10 p.m.) SAN FRANCISCO, June 26. Members of the crew of 33 from the Matson Line freighter Malama, reported missing since January 1, are interned at Shanghai. The International Red Cross has advised that the men are safe. The Malama sailed on November 29 for New Zealand and Australia, with a war cargo. She wirelessed when off Tahiti on January 1 and reported that an unidentified plane had ordeied her to halt. .
