POSITION OF EGYPT DEFINED. LONDON, June 26. ' Correcting an earlier- message referring to the mobilisation of Egypt’s home army (reported yesterday), a message from Cairo says that the Premier, Nahas Pasha, strenuously denied a statement that the British Government had asked Egypt to mobolise Egyptians I and declare war on the Axis. He also stated, “After my discussions and after acquainting myself with their plans, I am confident that the position of our ally this year is far better than it was a year ago. This should put an end to rumours spread by interested parties with a view to causing panic and disorder.”
