NOTICE OF INTENTION TO MAKE GENERAL RATES. pUBLIC NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it by sections 120 and 121 of “The Counties Act, 1920,” and Section 51 of “The Rating Act, 1925,” the Eketahuna County Council will, at its meeting to be held on the 10th July, 1942, make and levy General Rates on the rateable value (on the basis of the unimproved value) of all rateable property in the Ridings of the County as follows: — EAST RIDING.—Three pence in the pound (3d. in the £1). WEST RIDING—Three pence and one-half penny in the pound (3}d in the £1). ALFREDTON RIDING.—Three pence and one-farthing in the pound (31d in the £1). Such rates to be for the period commencing on the Ist day of April, 1942, and ending on the 31st March, 1943 and to be payable in one sum on the Ist day of September, 1942. AND NOTICE is further given in pursuance to Section 64 of “The Rating Act, 1925,” that a rebate of 4 per cent will be allowed off all General Rates paid before the expiration of thirty days after due date.
