DAMAGE TO THE NORTH OF MASTERTON . NO SERVICES FOR SEVERAL DAYS. ' COMMUNICATION AS USUAL WITH WELLINGTON. The railway authorities state that there will be no railway communication between Masterton and Woodville for several days. The usual Masterton-Wellington railway service will continue as usual with slight delays. The express train will leave Masterton at 2.15 p.m. Some, railway bridges and tracks north of Masterton have been damaged and will not be in use for several days. HOUSEHOLD LOSSES SERIOUS IN MASTERTON. Many Masterton householders have suffered particularly severely. In some instances practically all glassware and china have- been broken to pieces. Pianos were moved in some instances and pictures thrown from the walls.
