Horses trained in Hawke’s Bay won four races, including the two main events, oil the opening day of the Manawatu Racing Cluo s winter meeting at Awapuni on Saturday. The weather was overcast and misty, witl occasional light showers, and the track was very heavy. The fields were large and the Mangawhata Handicap for hack stayers was run in divisions.
