PARCEL RECEIVED

MASTERTON SOLDIER PRISONER IN GERMANY. Writing to his parents from Stalag VIII B Germany (near the borders of Czechoslovakia), Private Robert Faulknor (son of Mr A. V. Faulknor, Lansdowne) states, inter alia: “The greatest news is that I received your parcel at the beginning of this month. I can’t express hovz pleased I was; it was a beauty. Everything was in perfect order. It had not been opened. The blankets, jersey and underwear and so on are being made good use of. It was one of the first parcels to arrive at this party and the first from New Zealand, thanks to your promptness. Everything is going along perfectly with us. I am keeping in good health and am in the best of spirits.”
