Colonel T. W. McDonald, whose term of office as a. representative of the Wairarapa Ward on the Wellington Education Board expires on July 15, offers himself as a candidate at the. next Board election. It is nearly 38 years since Colonel McDonald first represented Wairarapa (in conjunction with the rest of the education district) when the only means of getting to most of the schools was by bicycle. The Masterton Little Theatre Society claims that the production of “People in Love” at the Opera House on Saturday and Monday, June 27 and 29, will be one of the best yet staged. The play is a most amusing one and the cast for handling it contains some of the Society’s favourite performers. The. box plan is open at the shop of Messrs Steele and Bull, Queen Street.
