BOROUGH RATES (“Times-Age” Special.) The general rate struck by the Borough Council for the next financial year amounts to 5-Jd in the £. The Hospital and Charitable Aid rate is IJd in the £; street and lighting l.jd in the £; and sanitation Ijd in the £. Personal. Sister C. George, of Memorial Hospital Hastings, is spending a few days with' Mrs George, Alfredton. Riding On Footpaths. The Town Clerk has drawn the attention of the Borough Council to the fact that cyclists continually ride on the footpaths thereby causing unnecessary wear and tear, and also the possibility of an accident at corners. The council intend to take the necessary action to enforce the by-laws.
