SOUTH FEATHERSTON

EUCHRE AND DANCE ENJOYABLE GATHERING. (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a large attendance at the weekly euchre party and dance held in the South Featherston Hall on Saturday night, when a most enjoyable time was spent. The music for dancing was provided by a soldier’s band. Mr H. Graham was M.C. The Monte Carlo waltzes were won by Mrs Selby and partner and Miss Noeline Wilton and partner. A lucky spot dance was won by Miss N. Tocker and partner. The euchre prizes were won as follows:—Ladies: Mrs Chisholm 1, Miss E. Williams 2. Men:'Mr J. Thompson 1, Mrs N. Burt 2. _ ( Supper was provided by a ladies committee. These gatherings are very popular and are conducted in an excellent manner. Personal Items. Mr and Mrs A. Gain are spending a holiday at Wellington. Mrs C. M. Bain and Mrs J. Bain are visiting Dunedin. Mrs M. Baker is visiting relatives in Christchurch. Mrs Cherry, of Masterton, is staying with her mother, Mrs Simmonds.
