SUCCESSFUL ATTACKS

ON ENEMY MOTOR TRANSPORT. HERAKLION & TARANTO BOMBED. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 11.45 a.m.) RUGBY, June 15. A R.A.F. Middle East communique states: “Three enemy machines attempting to attack our snipping off Tobruk on Sunday were shot (town. Our bombers successfully attacked enemy motor transport and tanks near Acroma, while during a dual raid on the main landing-ground at Derna large fires were started among dispersed enemy aircraft. “An aerodrome at Heraklion, in Crete and dock and harbour installations at Taranto, in Italy, were bombed on Saturday night. “Four of our airlraft are missing, but two pilot's are safe. “Enemy bombers on Saturday night unsuccessfully attacked Mersa Matruh, Maa ten, Bagush and the Fuka area.”
