INTERHOUSE DANCE

FIFTY ENTRIES FOR WALTZING COMPETITION. The dance held by the Wairarapa Interhouse Association in the Municipal Hall on Saturday night was well patronised. Brightly decorated with the flags’ of the United Nations in honour of Flag Day, the hall presented a gay scene. Messrs J. Bruce and L. Askew were the M.’sC. and music was supplied by Jack Barnes’s Orchestra. Extras were contributed by Miss Hawke and Mr Minifie. Special interest attached to the waltzing competition, for which 50 entries were received. The winners were Miss Hazel Sutherland and LanceCorporal Harvey. A buffet supper was served.
