OBITUARY

MRS A. D. MERCER. The death occurred at an early hour this morning at the Masterton Hospital of Mrs Alice Dora Mercer, after an illness extending over two years. Born in Christchurch 69 years ago, the late Mrs Mercer had resided in various parts of New Zealand. Her husband, Mr Walter Edward Mercer, predeceased her two years ago at Auckland. Since then she had resided with her sister, Mrs M. R. Carpenter, 7 Wrigley Street, Masterton. Another sister, Mrs M. E. Hedges, 10 Howard Street, Wellington, also survives her. There was no family. The funeral will 'take place tomorrow afternoon, leaving the Chapel of Hyde’s Funeral Service, following a service at 3 p.m. for the Masterton Cemetery.
