4 EKETAHUNA CLUB. ANNUAL MEETING. (“Times-Age” Special.) The annual meeting of the Eketahuna Bowling Club was held on Wednesday night. Some 30 members were present. The following officers were elected for the coming season: Patron, Mr F. Cowlam (re-elected); president, Mr N. P. Williams (re-elected); vice-presid-ents, Messrs D. Fraser, W. Hornblow, A. H. Herbert; secretary, Mr A. Frederickson (re-elected); treasurer, Mr M. Herbert (re-elected); senior selector, Mr H. Rogers (re-elected); junior selector, Mr M. Herbert; green committee, Messrs W. Manser, D. Fraser, T. Hooper, L. Houlbrooke, J. ■ Tolley; match committee, Messrs D. Butcher, H. Smith, C. Raleigh; social committee, Messrs J. Taylor, A. Ramsay, W. Utting; delegate to the Bowling Centre, Mr D. Butcher. This is the first time for many years that the club has appointed one of its own members to this office: official recorder, Mr R. Holford. The president, in his annual report, summarised the club’s activities during the past season, and thanked the various committees for their co-opera-tion and excellent work during the season. The balance-sheet showed that the club's finances were in a sound position.

At the close of the meeting a milchappreciated presentation was made to the club by Mr W. J. Manser of a cup and miniature. The cup, which is known as the Manser Cup, is to be played for in the champion singles each season.

Mr Manser presented the president, Mr N. P. Williams, who was the winner last season, with the cup and a miniature.

Members present congratulated the donor and winner for their splendid gift and play, respectively.
