SOUTH FEATHERSTON
ENJOYABLE GATHERING EUCHRE PARTY AND DANCE. (“Times-Age” Special.) There was a good attendance at the fortnightly euchre party and dance held in the South Featherston Hall on Thursday night. The prizes were won as follows: —Ladies, Mrs Mclntosh 1, Mrs Chisholm 2. Men, Mr A. Ashworth 1, Mr H. W. Willis 2. The Monte Carlo Waltzes were won by Miss Shona Cross and partner and Miss Ina Gain and Mr Lloyd Mclntosh. The music was supplied by Udy’s Orchestra. Mr H. Graham capably carried out the duties of M.C. Soldiers’ Dance. A soldiers’ dance was held in the South Featherston Hall on Saturday night, there being a good attendance. Extras were played by Miss Norma Gundesen and Mr Lloyd Mclntosh and very much enjoyed. The Monte Carlo waltzes were won by Miss Betty Fuge and partner and Mr R. Chisholm and partner. Mr Graham was M.C. . The euchre prizes were won as follows: Ladies, Mrs H. Williams 1, Mrs Mclntosh 2. Men: Mrs H. R. Burt 1, Mr R. Jepsen 2. Personal Items. Miss Norma Gundesen, of Te Whiti, is staying with Mrs Currie. Pte. S. Gain was home on weekend leave. Miss Madge Thurston, Masterton, is the guest of Miss Tocker, The Priory.
