NAVAL SERVICE
— FORMER AUCKLAND YACHTSMEN. (Special P.A. Correspondent.) (Received This Day, 12.10 p.m.) LONDON, June 1. Lieutenant J. J. Greer, R.N.Z.N.V.R., .of Auckland, is now commanding a •trawler in which also is Sub-Lieuten-ant F. B. Hargreave, R.N.Z.N.V.R., of Auckland. Lieutenant Greer was recently searching for German mines -from Britain’s east coast. Sub-Lieuten-ant C. W. J. Parkinson, of Gisborne, is serving in the same trawler flotilla. Lieutenant Greer previously served for eight months in a corvette which rescued members of the crews of three torpedoed ships in the North Atlantic. He recently met, on leave in London, Lieutenants A. K. Spicer and R. Jeffrey, both of Auckland, now both commanding motor launches. They all previously sailed the yacht TairiUi in the Royal Akarana Club.
