WAR SUPPLY
BRITISH AND AMERICAN PRODUCTION MR LYTTELTON VISITING WASHINGTON. COMBINED PLANNING. NEW YORK, June 1. Plans lor a joint British and American victory production programme will be laid in the White House when Mr Oliver Lyttelton, the British production chief, arrives on Monday for a series of conference with President Roosevelt, Mi* Harry Hopkins, and Mr Donald Nelson, said the “New York Times” Washington correspondent.
Agreement has already been reached changing the existing British-American war organisation. A combined production planning committee has been established, headed by Messrs Nelson and Lyttelton or the latter’s delegate to organise a direct victory programme. In addition, a combined food committee has been created, headed by the Secretary of Agriculture, Mr Wickard ,and Mr B. H. Brand.
