ESPERANTO
MASTERTON CLUB MEETING. At the weekly, meeting of the Masterton Esperanto Club, held last evening, Mr N. Lamont presided over, a very satisfactory attendance of members. Referring to the international organisation of Esperantists, Mr Lamont stated that the last issue of the. Esperanto Year Book, recently received, disclosed that the International Esperanto League has delegates in six towns in New Zealand. This was very gratifying he said, considering the . war conditions obtaining and the officials carrying on might rest assured that their efforts would effectively link New Zealand with the important world-wide organisation until such time as peace was restored to the world. Reading and translation from La Interna Ideo,” the New Zealand allEsperanto magazine, followed; then impromptu talks and questions on selected subjects, and a period of useful verb study. The secretary, Sergeant W. H. King, presented the final-item —a review in Esperanto of the novel, “La Adventuroj de Marteno Drake” (The Adventures of Martin Drake).
