LATEST OFFICIAL FORECAST CLOUDY & SHOWERY. SOUTHERLY CHANGE LIKELY. The following official weather report and forecast was issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington, at noon today:— DISTRICT FORECAST: Fresh but decreasing south-easterly to easterly winds. Weather cloudy, with some occasional showers, chiefly on the coast. Temperatures moderate. FURTHER OUTLOOK: A change to southerly winds, with changeable showery weather probable by Wednesday. LOCAL REPORT. Mr N. W. Towns reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 8 a.m. yesterday:—Barograph, 30.19; shade temperature —maximum 54.8, minimum 39, terrestrial 33.9; sunshine, 2 hours 24 minutes; rain, 27 points. Mr Towns reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 8 a.m. today:—Barograph, 30.05; shade ■ temperature —maximum 53.8, minimum 46.7, terrestrial 39.2; sunshine, 3 hours 12 minutes; rain, 65 points. Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 30 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. yesterday and 73 points for a similar period today. PHASES OF THE MOON. JUNE. Last quarter, June 6.
