LOCAL ASSOCIATION LAST NIGHT’S GAMES. WOOLWORTHS DEFEAT W.F.C.A. In spite of the unfavourable conditions which prevailed last evening there was a good attendance to witness the local indoor basketball games. The matches were very evenly contested. There were two surprises, the defeat of W.F.C.A. by Woolworth’s and of Codys by the State Kitchenette. The Association has had a number of rule books printed and these may be obtained from the secretary (Mr D. Costello). The following are the results of the games played last night:— W.F.C.A. defeated Vesta IG/0. Lancers defeated Garages 18/6. Cathies defeated Rangers B 8/0. Rangers A drew with United 6 all. C. Smiths drew with Post and Telegraph 2 all. Woolworths defeated W.F.C.A. 4/1. McDuffs defeated State Kitchenette B 3/2. 'State Ktchenette A beat Codys 6/4. Interhouse beat Air Force 22/8. A.S.C. drew with Ruahine 10 all.
