OTHER PEOPLE’S IDEAS

FARM MACHINERY (To the Editor.) Sir, —In Saturday’s “Times-Age” re wheat growing, Mr R. W. Kebbell guarantees labour for harvesting and sowing. Now, Sir, will Mr Kebbell guarantee that if we break machinery it will be replaced or mended quickly? I think two years ago I broke my plough at- Christmas time. I forget exactly how long I had to wait for the part. It was more than a week. The blacksmiths’ shops were closed, having their holidays, as though they could not have had tfiern this time of the year like we have to. I have not been away for at least 10 years.—l am, etc., FARMER. Masterton, May 27.
