FATAL CRASH
AMERICAN ARMY PLANE IN AUSTRALIA. TWELVE PERSONS KILLED. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright) MELBOURNE, May 27. When a United States Army transport plane crashed at Alice Springs yesterday, nine American airmen and a pay officer and' two Australian airmen were killed. It is stated at Allied Headquarters that motor failure is believed to have caused the crash.
