FARMERS’ UNION

WOMEN’S DIVISION WAIRARAPA PROVINCIAL' COUNCIL. ANNUAL MEETING AT MASTERTON. There was a full attendance of delegates at the annual meeting of the Wairarapa Provincial Council of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union held at the Club Rooms, Masterton. Mrs K. Groves presided. The president’s report and balance sheet were read and adopted. The report of Mrs Andrew, the housekeeping secretary, was read and confirmed. The members expressed the opinion that Mrs Andrew had done good work. Forty-eight homes” had been visited by the housekeeper and subsidies had been granted in more cases than for a long time past. Reference was made to the excellent service Mrs Groves had rendered the Women’s Division. Mrs Groves subsequently entertained the delegates at dinner at Messrs Hugo and Shearer’s. On behalf of the delegates, Mrs Beu thanked Mrs Groves, who suitably replied. Members later resumed the business of the meeting.
