“I WANT A DIVORCE.”
“I Want a Divorce” and “Tillie the Toller,” will be finally shown tonight. “THE COUNT OF MONTE CRISTO.” There are few romances as thrilling as “The Count of Monte Cristo,” a film version of which will be screened tomorrow night. Robert Donat has the role of the Count, the sailor captain who, after spending years in prison through the dastardly machinations o those he thought his friends, makes an amazing escape. Elissa Landi as Mercedes, Louis Calhern as De Millefort, Sidney Blackmer as Mondego, and Raymond Walburn as Danglars form a galaxy of stars who fit the sparkling cavalcade of events to the life. e Count of Monte Cristo” is one of the most sustained efforts of imaginative creation in literature, but is a presentation of human life in all its phases.
