MUNICIPAL BAND
ANNUAL MEETING. The annual meeting of the Masterton Municipal Band was held in the bandroom on Tuesday, May 19. There was a good attendance. The annual balance sheet and report were, read and adopted. The election of officers resulted as follows: —Patron, Mr T, Jordan; president, Mr W. White; bandmaster, Mr R. Davies; chairman, Mr B. Elliot; corporal custodian, Mr R. Lewis; secretary, Mr A. Fairbrother; treasurer, Mr W. G. Lamb; auditor, Mr A. D. Low; management committee, Messrs B. Elliot, A. Fairbrother, 'R. Lewis, F. J. Harrington, A. Guthrie, J. Grey, H. H. Hopley; programme committee, Messrs G. Hutchinson, R. Lewis, R. Davies, Mr A. Pearson, retiring bandmaster, was farewelled prior to joining the Trentham Military Band, and presented with a silver cigarette case from the ipembers of the band.
