A large fire, which caused £20,000 worth of damage at F. W. Hughes Proprietary wool scouring works at Botany Bay, kept an army of firemen fully employed yesterday afternoon and evening and enveloped the whole neighbourhood in dense smoke and unpleasant odours. A factory opposite was also damaged by the fire.
