BUILDING SOCIETY

WORKERS’ MUTUAL BENEFIT. A general meeting of the shareholders of the No. 2 Workers’ Mutual Benefit Building Society was held last evening for the purpose of allocating appropriations. Mr R. Krahagen, chairman, presided over a small attendance of shareholders. Mr P. L. Watts was nominated to draw the marbles for the ballots. The successful shareholder in the No. 2 Society was Mr H. J. Jones, of Masterton, who, being the holder of two shares was declared entitled to a loan of £4OO free of interest. The successful shareholder in the B Group was Mr W. C. Grange, who was declared entitled to a loan of £4OO free of interest. A tender of £4O for £4OO in the No. 1 Society was also accepted.
